3. Club career
Haruna's professional club career began when he signed a four-year contract with AS Monaco in December 2007. He made his senior team debut during the 2008-09 season. In June 2011, after his tenure with Monaco, he signed a five-year contract with Ukrainian club FC Dynamo Kyiv.
During his time at Dynamo Kyiv, Haruna was loaned out to other clubs. In the 2014-15 season, he had a loan spell with FC Hoverla Uzhhorod in the Ukrainian Premier League. In July 2015, he moved to Russian club FC Anzhi Makhachkala on a loan deal from Dynamo Kyiv, which lasted until the end of 2015. However, Anzhi decided not to extend his loan after it concluded.
On April 3, 2016, Haruna joined FC Astana of Kazakhstan on a loan deal that was set to expire on June 30, 2016. After his loan period with Astana, he underwent trials with several clubs, including FK Vardar in North Macedonia, RC Lens in France, and Odense Boldklub in Denmark.
In March 2018, Haruna joined Lithuanian A Lyga club FK Palanga, hoping to "relaunch" his career. He later moved to Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 club US Tataouine in July 2019. His most recent known club was FC Ararat Yerevan in Armenia, which announced his signing on December 12, 2019.
