After turning professional in 2015, Sandi Morris continued her highly successful career, competing at the highest levels of international and national pole vaulting. Her indoor personal best is 16 ft (4.95 m), set on March 12, 2016, in Portland, Oregon. She matched this height at the 2018 World Indoor Championships, where she set a new championship record.
Morris's achievement of clearing 16 ft (5 m) placed her in the exclusive "5-meter club", a rare feat for female pole vaulters. On July 23, 2016, she cleared 16 ft (4.93 m) at the American Track League in Houston at Rice University, breaking Jennifer Suhr's American outdoor record in the pole vault.
