1. Early Life and Career Start
Dário Frederico da Silva was born on September 11, 1991. He began his professional football career in his native Brazil, making his debut with AA Flamengo. During his early years, he also had a loan spell with Marília.
2. Club Career
Dário's professional career spans multiple continents, beginning in Brazil, moving through Europe and Azerbaijan, experiencing Korean football, and later playing in Latvia, Vietnam, India, and Bahrain.
2.1. Early Brazilian Career
Dário's professional journey started with AA Flamengo. He played in the Campeonato Paulista Série A3, making 15 appearances and scoring 2 goals in 2012. He continued with the club in 2013, playing 20 matches and netting 4 goals, followed by 16 appearances and 2 goals in 2014. In 2012, while still with AA Flamengo, he was loaned to Marília, where he played 2 matches in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D.
2.2. First Stint in Europe and Azerbaijan
In July 2014, Dário moved to Europe, signing a two-year contract with C.D. Trofense in the Segunda Liga of Portugal. During the 2014-15 season, he made a notable 41 league appearances, scoring 3 goals. He also played 1 match in the National Cup and 5 in the League Cup.
A year later, in July 2015, Dário transferred to Kapaz, a newly promoted club in the Azerbaijan Premier League. In his first stint with Kapaz, he played 12 matches and scored 3 goals during the 2015-16 season. He continued to be a key player in the 2016-17 season, making 22 league appearances and scoring 4 goals. Significantly, he also made 4 appearances in Continental competitions, scoring 1 goal during this period.
2.3. K League and Subsequent Returns to Azerbaijan
In the summer transfer window of 2017, Dário made a move to South Korea, joining Seongnam FC in the K League 2, then known as the K League Challenge. However, he faced an unfortunate injury that prevented him from playing any matches for the club, leading to a mutual agreement for contract termination.
On January 26, 2018, Dário returned to Kapaz PFK in the Azerbaijan Premier League, signing a one-year contract. In his second spell with the club during the 2017-18 season, he played 13 matches and scored 4 goals. Following this, on June 11, 2018, he signed a one-year contract with another Azerbaijani club, Neftçi PFK. For Neftçi, in the 2018-19 season, he made 14 league appearances, scoring 3 goals, and also played in 2 continental matches.
His second venture into the K League came on January 30, 2019, when Neftçi announced his transfer to Daegu FC in K League 1. He played 3 league matches and 2 continental matches for Daegu FC during the 2019 season. On June 14, 2019, Dário returned to Neftçi PFK on a two-year deal from Daegu FC. In the 2019-20 season, he played 17 league matches, scoring 1 goal, and also featured in 2 national cup matches and 6 continental matches, scoring 3 goals. His contract with Neftçi was terminated by mutual consent on July 10, 2020.
2.4. Recent Club Activities
On July 23, 2020, Dário signed a contract with Riga FC in Latvia. He played 8 matches in the Virslīga and 1 continental match during the 2020 season. Following his time in Latvia, he moved to Vietnam to play for Ho Chi Minh City FC in the V.League 1. In the 2021 season, he made 8 league appearances, scoring 1 goal.
More recently, Dário has played for Rajasthan United FC in India, featuring in 10 matches in the I-League during the 2023-24 season. He is currently playing for Al-Ahli in the Bahraini Premier League.
