Nehuén Pérez

3.1. Argentinos Juniors and Atlético Madrid

Pérez was promoted to the Argentinos Juniors first-team squad under manager Alfredo Berti during the 2017-18 Argentine Primera División season. He made his senior debut in a Copa Argentina match against Independiente de Chivilcoy on 9 May 2018. In July of the same year, Pérez was signed by La Liga club Atlético Madrid. Following his transfer, he was immediately loaned back to Argentinos Juniors for the 2018-19 Argentine Primera División season. Despite being an unused substitute for ten matches during this period, he made his league debut on 12 November in a 2-1 defeat to Tigre. Throughout his tenure at Atlético Madrid, Pérez did not make any competitive first-team appearances for the club.

3.2. Loan Spells

Pérez gained valuable experience through several loan spells at different clubs, allowing him to establish himself as a professional player and showcase his defensive abilities.

Pérez's first significant loan spell began on 10 July 2019, when he joined newly promoted Primeira Liga side Famalicão for the entire season. He made his debut for the club in the Taça da Liga against Covilhã on 3 August. On 31 August, Pérez scored his first senior career goal in a league victory away from home against Aves. His strong performances led to him being named the Primeira Liga's Defender of the Month for September 2019. In total, he made twenty-five appearances for Famalicão, helping the club secure a respectable sixth-place finish in the league.

Following his return to Atlético Madrid ahead of the 2020-21 season, where he remained an unused substitute for the first three La Liga fixtures, Pérez was subsequently loaned to another La Liga side, Granada, on 5 October 2020. He made his debut for Granada on 25 October in an away match against Getafe. His first appearances in the UEFA Europa League came on 5 November in a match in Cyprus against Omonia.

3.3. Udinese and Porto

On 28 August 2021, Pérez joined Italian side Udinese on a season-long loan. After a successful loan period, he made a permanent transfer to Udinese on 29 July 2022, signing a five-year contract with the Serie A club. He became a consistent presence in their squad.

Most recently, on 30 August 2024, Pérez moved to Portuguese club Porto on a loan deal that includes an option for Porto to make the transfer permanent.

4.1. Youth National Teams

Pérez represented Argentina at U17 level, making four appearances at the 2017 South American U-17 Championship held in Chile. In December 2018, he was selected for the squad participating in the 2019 South American U-20 Championship. He was later called up by coach Fernando Batista for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, where he scored one goal in three matches. Batista continued to include Pérez in his plans, calling him up for the U23s in September for a friendly match against Bolivia. He was also part of the Argentina U23 squad that won the 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, and was named in the squad for the 2020 Summer Olympics football tournament.

4.2. Senior National Team

Pérez received his first call-up to the senior Argentina national football team for friendly matches in November 2019 against Brazil and Uruguay. He made his official senior international debut on 24 September 2022 in a friendly match against Honduras.
