Bolić moved to Turkey in the summer of 1992, embarking on an eight-year tenure in the Süper Lig. He initially joined Galatasaray, where he made 8 appearances and scored 2 goals in 1992. He then moved to Gaziantepspor from 1993 to 1995, playing 73 matches and scoring 43 goals, highlighting his strong attacking presence. His most impactful period came with Fenerbahçe SK, where he played from 1995 to 2000, making 145 appearances and scoring 64 goals. With Fenerbahçe, he won the national championship in his first season (1995-96) and also reached the final of the Turkish Cup. In his first year, the 2000-01 season, he scored eight goals in 32 league matches. On 8 September 2004, Bolić scored the equalizer in a 1-1 home draw against Spain during the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. His final international appearance was a European Championship qualification match against Hungary in September 2006.
4. Coaching Career
Following his retirement as a player, Elvir Bolić briefly transitioned into coaching. From 5 January 2008 to 17 May 2008, he served as an assistant coach for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, working as part of Meho Kodro's coaching staff.
