1. Club Career
Aleksandar Rakić's professional football journey has taken him across multiple leagues and continents, showcasing his scoring ability as a forward.
1.1. Early Career
Rakić began his professional career in 2005 with FK Cement Beočin in the Serbian League Vojvodina. He then moved to FK Palilulac Beograd, where he played during the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons in the Serbian League Belgrade. Following this, he returned to Cement Beočin, playing in the Vojvodina League West in 2009-10 and subsequent seasons in the Serbian League Vojvodina until 2013, notably scoring 13 goals in 27 appearances during the 2010-11 season.
1.2. Armenian Premier League
In 2013, Rakić moved to the Armenian Premier League. He played for both FC Ararat Yerevan and FC Gandzasar Kapan, collectively scoring 22 goals in 70 games during his tenure in Armenia. With Ararat Yerevan, he netted 10 goals in 28 appearances in the 2013-14 season and another 10 goals in 26 appearances in 2014-15, along with a goal in the Armenian Cup. He then played for Gandzasar Kapan, scoring 1 goal in 10 league appearances and 1 goal in 2 cup appearances in the 2015-16 season.
1.3. Transition to Asia
After his time in Armenia, Rakić transitioned to football in Asia. In 2016-17, he played for FK Inđija in the Serbian First League, scoring 4 goals in 10 appearances. In 2017, he joined Maziya S&RC in the Dhivehi Premier League in the Maldives, where he scored 3 goals in 14 league appearances and also found the net 3 times in 6 continental matches. Subsequently, during the 2017-18 season, he played for Hapoel Marmorek F.C. in Israel's Liga Leumit, contributing 1 goal in 5 appearances.
1.4. Chennai City FC
In February 2018, Rakić signed with I-League club Chennai City FC in India, joining as a replacement for Murilo de Almeida. He made his debut for the club in a match against Mohun Bagan A.C. that ended in a 0-0 draw. His first goal for Chennai City FC came in a 3-1 home victory against Churchill Brothers S.C.. He made 5 appearances and scored 2 goals during his stint with Chennai City FC.
1.5. PS TIRA
In March 2018, Rakić moved from India to Indonesia to join PS TIRA, a club competing in Liga 1. He was sold to the Indonesian club by Chennai City FC. Rakić made his debut for PS TIRA on March 26, 2018, during the first week of the 2018 Liga 1 season, in an away match against Persib Bandung at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium. He started the game and scored his inaugural goal for PS TIRA in injury time of the second half, contributing to a 1-1 draw. On April 21, 2018, Rakić notably scored a hat-trick for his team, finding the net in the 19th, 26th, and 45th minutes. Despite his three goals, PS TIRA suffered a narrow 4-3 away defeat to PSM Makassar in that match. Overall, he was a prolific scorer for PS TIRA, registering 21 goals in 34 league appearances in the 2018 season.
1.6. Later Career
After his impactful period with PS TIRA, Rakić continued his career in Indonesia and other regions. In 2019, he joined Madura United FC, scoring 12 goals in 29 league appearances and an additional 9 goals in 14 cup matches. He then moved to PS Barito Putera, playing in the 2020 and 2021 Liga 1 seasons, where he scored 5 goals in 20 appearances across both seasons. In the 2020-21 season, he also played for FK Krupa in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, making 7 appearances. He later had another stint with Persikabo 1973 (formerly PS TIRA) in 2021, scoring 4 goals in 11 appearances. As of 2022, he plays as a forward for PSIM Yogyakarta.
