In this match, he scored his first professional goal in first-half stoppage time, converting a pass from Jungo Fujimoto. This performance marked a turning point, as he continued to start in the subsequent two matches against Cerezo Osaka and Urawa Red Diamonds, scoring opening goals in both. Then-manager Dragan Stojković highly praised Isomura, noting his "feeling for scoring," "ability to effectively use space," and his knack for "handling second balls and always being in a good position."
