3.1. Early career in Brazil
Rôni began his youth career at Vila Nova FC, a club where he would later return. He made his professional debut in 1996 with São Paulo FC, initially on loan from Vila Nova. Following this, he joined Fluminense FC, a prominent Brazilian club, where he played for six seasons between 1997 and 2002. During his time at Fluminense, he was teammates with other notable players such as Britto and Magno Alves.
