1.1. Youth Career
Saivet's foundational football years were spent at youth clubs including Cergy Clos and Bordeaux, where he played from 2002 to 2007. He was a prominent figure in French youth national teams, representing various age groups. For the U-16 team, he made 15 appearances and scored 8 goals between 2005 and 2006. On 23 December, he scored a free kick in a crucial 3-2 Premier League win against West Ham United. For the 2019-20 season, he returned to Newcastle but was not registered with the first team.
2.2. Loan to Saint-Étienne
On 23 August 2016, after a limited number of appearances for Newcastle United, Saivet joined Saint-Étienne on a season-long loan. This agreement did not include an option for Saint-Étienne to purchase him permanently.
2.3. Loan to Sivasspor
On 31 January 2018, Henri Saivet made a loan move to Turkish club Sivasspor for the remainder of the 2017-18 season.
