Eri Murakawa

2.1. Early life and education

Eri Murakawa was born on October 4, 1987, in Daito City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. She began attending "Caless," a vocal and dance school located in Osaka, around 1998. That same year, she became part of an idol unit formed with three members from the Okinawa Actors School Osaka branch-Kayoko Uehara, Asami Tano, and Yukina Kawada-who had won the "National Amuse Audition" and came to Caless for lessons. Murakawa attended Omiya Junior high school and Hinode High school. Her blood type is A and she is 64 in ^{(163 cm)} tall.

2.2. Music career

Following their activities under the names "ai☆ai" and "Naniwa Kid" starting in April 2001, the idol unit officially changed its name to BOYSTYLE in January 2002. Murakawa, as a member of BOYSTYLE, made her debut as a singer in July 2002 with the single "Boys be Stylish!". The group continued their musical activities until their disbandment, which was officially announced on July 3, 2007.

2.3. Acting debut and early career

In 2004, Murakawa made her full-fledged entry into the acting profession by starring in the film *Load 88* (full title: ロード88 出会い路、四国へ_{Rōdo 88 Deairo, Shikoku e}^Japanese). This role marked a significant transition from her music career to acting. In October 2005, Murakawa was selected from 2,005 applicants to play the leading role of Haruka Mizuno in the NHK Asadora (morning drama) series *Kaze no Haruka*. At the time of the drama's premiere, Murakawa was 17 years old, turning 18 the day after the broadcast began, on October 4. Her portrayal in *Kaze no Haruka* became a breakthrough, cementing her early acting career. In 2016, she garnered attention for her dedicated performance, including topless nudity, in the starring film *Kashin* (full title: 花芯_Kashin^Japanese).
