8. Controversy and incidents
On October 24, 2008, a notable incident occurred during a practice session at Rosenborg BK. It was reported that Abdou Razack Traoré physically assaulted his teammate, Øyvind Storflor, knocking him down. The following day, Rosenborg announced disciplinary action against Traoré, banning him from playing in the last two matches of the season. Traoré later expressed his regret for the incident.
