2. Early Life and Youth Career
Yuto Mori began his football journey at the age of five, joining the youth system of Nagoya Grampus. During his time with the club's youth teams, he demonstrated leadership qualities, serving as captain for both the Nagoya Grampus U-15 and U-18 squads. As captain of the U-15 team, he played a pivotal role in their victory at the Japan Club Youth Football Championship (U-15) in 2008 and the Prince Takamado Cup All Japan Youth (U-15) Football Championship in 2010.
While captaining the U-18 team in his final year, Mori faced significant challenges due to two separate bone fractures. These injuries necessitated a year of rehabilitation, severely limiting his participation in matches during a crucial developmental period. He attended Anjo City Higashiyama Junior High School and Okazaki Josei High School during his youth career.
3. Professional Career
Yuto Mori's professional career saw him progress through several Japanese clubs, starting with his youth club, Nagoya Grampus, before moving to Gamba Osaka, Mito Hollyhock, and eventually Kamatamare Sanuki.
3.1. Nagoya Grampus
Mori was promoted to the Nagoya Grampus top team in 2014. He made his official debut for the club in the J.League Cup on March 19, 2014, against Ventforet Kofu at Mizuho Athletic Stadium in Nagoya. He started the match but was substituted in the 67th minute, with Ryota Aoki taking his place. Nagoya Grampus ultimately lost the match 1-0.
