2. Early Life and Youth Career
Takaharu Nishino was born on September 14, 1993, in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. He began his football journey at a young age, joining a local boys' club in his hometown, the Kasuga Santos JSC, where he played until 2005 during his time at Kasugaoka Elementary School. In 2006, he entered the Gamba Osaka junior youth system, playing for the team until 2008 while attending Seiryo Junior High School. During his middle school years, Nishino initially struggled to secure a regular spot in the team, but he managed to establish himself as a starter by the summer of his third year. This period marked a significant turning point, as he experienced rapid growth in his skills and performance.
His impressive development led to his promotion to the Gamba Osaka youth academy in 2009, where he played until 2011 during his high school years at Suita Higashi High School. As a key player, he commanded the defensive line for the youth team. During his high school career, Nishino also gained valuable experience representing Japan in various age-group national youth football teams, showcasing his potential on the international stage from an early age.

Nishino was promoted to the top team of Gamba Osaka in 2012, alongside fellow youth academy graduates Ken Tajiri and Katsunao Inamori. His official debut came on September 8, 2012, in an Emperor's Cup second-round match against Kansai University at Banpaku Memorial Stadium.
In 2013, Nishino was given his first starting opportunity in the J2 League third match against Yokohama FC. He quickly established himself as a regular, playing a crucial role in Gamba Osaka's defense. Although he temporarily lost his regular spot after a mistake that led to a goal in the J2 League 22nd match against FC Gifu, he soon regained his position. Throughout the season, he made 29 appearances, the most among center-backs on the team, significantly contributing to Gamba Osaka's promotion back to the J1 League.
The 2014 season saw Nishino primarily feature in cup competitions during the first half. He returned to a regular starting role in the latter half of the season. This injury sidelined him from the team. Although he returned to practice approximately two months later, his official return to competitive matches was delayed as Gamba Osaka was in the midst of a title race.

He returned to play late in the season but was limited to only three league appearances. In 2016, he made 17 appearances in the J3 League as a member of the Gamba Osaka U-23 team.
His J.League debut was on March 17, 2013, in the J2 League 3rd match against Yokohama FC at Banpaku Memorial Stadium. He scored his first J.League goal on August 18, 2013, in the J2 League 29th match against Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo at the same venue.
