Thomas began his youth football career as a product of the West Ham United academy. At the age of 16, he joined the youth academy of Boreham Wood. During the first Championship game of the 2021-22 season, a 1-1 draw against Derby County on August 7, 2021, Thomas recorded his first assist, delivering a free kick cross that was headed in by Naby Sarr. In the subsequent game, a 5-1 home defeat to Fulham, he was involved in Fulham's opening goal due to an overhit backpass, but he later provided an assist for Huddersfield's only goal from a corner kick, which Matty Pearson scored with a header.
On August 28, 2021, he achieved a significant milestone by scoring his first goal for the club and providing two assists in a commanding 4-0 home victory against Reading.
