Ryunosuke Kamiki was born on May 19, 1993, in Fujimi, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. He was not discharged from the hospital until he was seven months of age. Doctors believed that even if he survived, he might live with a disability. Motivated by a desire to leave a tangible proof of his existence, his mother enrolled him in the Central Group talent agency when he was two years old. This decision marked his entry into the entertainment industry.

Kamiki has expanded his creative endeavors beyond acting, exploring roles as an author, director, photographer, and YouTube personality.
3.4.1. Books and Publications
Kamiki has authored and contributed to several books and photobooks. In 2005, he was featured on the cover and in a long gravure for the photobook My Bōken by Kentaro Atsuchi, and also for Boy Actor vol.1 and BOYS: GRASSROOTS.
In 2015, he wrote his first book, Kamiki Ryunosuke's Master's Cafe: The Fulfillment of Masters' Dreams, where he interviewed fifteen professionals from various fields. His photobook Sincérité was released in 2017. In 2020, he published his autobiographical work, Omote Kamiki / Ura Kamiki, as part of his 25th anniversary project. He also co-authored From Miyagi (2022) with Takeru Satoh and released Kamikikochi (2023), a visual travel guide to Kochi Prefecture.
From 2013 to 2015, he had a magazine serialization titled "Kamiki Ryunosuke's Master's Cafe" in AnAn.
3.4.2. Directing and Photography
Kamiki made his directorial debut in 2019, directing the music video for "I Treasure You," a song featured in the 15th Anniversary SUPER HANDSOME COLLECTION 「JUMP↑」 album.
He is also an avid photographer. In 2012, his photographs won the Grand Prize at the Hanamaru Market album awards. He was the official photographer for Takeru Satoh's 2021 calendar, taking over 8,000 photos for the "photobook-like calendar" concept, which aimed to capture natural expressions of Satoh in various locations they visited together. This calendar project was initiated by a video on his Twitter, where fans suggested novel characters for him to portray, leading to the selection of twelve novels for monthly themes. The lineup included classics and recent pieces, with Kamiki sporting silver hair for the first time for this project, which took two days to complete and was released on December 25, 2020, to mark his 25th anniversary. Kamiki also photographed the book cover for Ichi Kitahara's "Take a breath with this night" (2020).
In 2022, during the filming of From Miyagi, Kamiki participated in his first fossil excavation in Minamisanriku and successfully unearthed one of the world's oldest ichthyosaur fossils. This fossil is now on display at the Minasan Museum.
3.4.3. YouTube Channel
On June 18, 2020, Kamiki launched his official YouTube channel, 'Ryuchube', as the first installment of his 25th anniversary project. The channel's original logo was designed by graphic designer Taku Satoh, a close acquaintance of Kamiki.

Kamiki has engaged in various radio and narration projects. In 2010, he provided narration and the voice of Alma for the documentary The Legend of Alma: The Story of a Dog You Don't Know (NHK). He also served as a narrator for The Future of the Earth! Urgent Report: "Thinking with Seiji Miyane! What is a sustainable world?" (2012), Newly Discovered Art Variety "Aho! World!" (2012), and Newly Discovered Art Variety "Aho!" (2013) on Fuji TV. In 2013, he also narrated the documentary How Nollywood movies are made. Nigeria's "World's Best Movie City": Dreams and Fervor for WOWOW. In 2014, he hosted Ryunosuke Kamiki 20-year-old trip Going to the Vietnam border railway-in search of the most beautiful terraced rice fields in the world on BS Japan. He was also a host for the NHK Special NEXT WORLD Our Future in 2015. In 2020, he narrated Coronavirus, Youth, Us: Swimming club's last summer of high school for NHK, and in 2021, he narrated Butterfly Effect because that day exists, now exists for NHK General TV.
In 2020, he hosted his first radio program, Kamiki Ryunosuke All Night Nippon 0 (ZERO) on Nippon Broadcasting System. From October to November 2021, he was the personality for Kamiki Ryunosuke no RADIO MOG STATION presented by Final Fantasy XIV on TOKYO FM and other JFN 38 stations nationwide.

5.1. Hobbies and Interests
Kamiki has a diverse range of hobbies and interests. He is a passionate photographer, a hobby that developed from his initial love for trains and photographing them. His photographic talent was recognized when his photos won the Grand Prize at the 2012 Hanamaru Market album awards.
He enjoys reading various genres, including manga, novels, and light novels. He credits the manga series The World God Only Knows with sparking his interest in reading during his first year of high school.
As a child, Kamiki struggled with swimming, but he overcame his fear during the filming of The Great Yokai War (2005) while performing a scene where he had to fall into a swamp. For his role in the 2010 drama Kokoro no Ito, he underwent intensive training in both Japanese Sign Language and piano. He also developed skills in shogi, receiving an "amateur shodan" certificate from the Japan Shogi Association after being tutored by professional players for his role in March Comes in Like a Lion.
