1. Early Life and Education
Yabuki Nako was born on June 18, 2001, in Tokyo, Japan. She began her career as a child actor from a very young age, reportedly starting at 0 years old. Her early acting experiences included a role in the 2005 film Touch, where she portrayed the younger version of the character Minami Asakura.
Around her second year of elementary school, Yabuki became a fan of AKB48, initially admiring Mayu Watanabe due to her older sister's influence. However, one day while watching television, she pointed to a member and declared, "I like this person!" That person was Rino Sashihara. Yabuki attended Sashihara's handshake events four or five times, and on two occasions, Sashihara encouraged her to audition for an AKB48 Group, telling her, "You will definitely pass. Go for it!" At the time, Yabuki did not meet the age requirements for the audition. After Sashihara was demoted and transferred to HKT48, Yabuki developed an interest in visiting Hakata and subsequently decided to audition for HKT48.

6. Personal Life
Yabuki Nako is affectionately known by several nicknames, including "Nako," "Kinako," and "Nuko." Her catchphrase is "We are an army to defeat ghosts! (Oh!) I'm Yabuki Nako." This phrase originated from a visit to a haunted house with friends and gained popularity after a 2015 appearance on the TBS show Ariyoshi AKB Kyōwakoku, where host Hiroyuki Ariyoshi immediately responded with "Oh!" when she delivered it.
During her time in HKT48, due to a "no formality rule," she referred to Rino Sashihara as "Sashiko-chan." She shares a particularly close friendship and professional bond with her同期 (same-generation member) and fellow HKT48 member Miku Tanaka. Their duo is widely known as "NakoMiku," and they frequently collaborated, including on the song "Namaiki Lips" from HKT48's 4th single "Hikaeme I love you!" and as double centers for the 11th single "Hayaokuri Calendar."
Tanaka Miku has noted that Yabuki is quite tolerant of alcohol, even by her own admission. However, during her first stay at Tanaka's home, Yabuki became heavily intoxicated from a small amount of alcohol due to fatigue. When Tanaka suggested she remove her makeup before sleeping, Yabuki suddenly began speaking in Korean. The next morning, Yabuki was surprised to hear about the incident, having no recollection of it.
