Laure was born in Madrid, Spain. He was a youth graduate of Real Madrid, a club renowned for its extensive youth academy system. Despite an impressive season with the club's C side, Laure was not offered a new professional contract by the board, leading to his departure from the team he had grown up with.
2. Club Career
Laure's professional career saw him play for several Spanish clubs, most notably enjoying a decade-long tenure with Deportivo La Coruña, where he became a prominent figure.
2.1. Real Madrid and Leganés
After his departure from the Real Madrid youth system, Laure signed with CD Leganés, a club also based in the Spanish capital. He played for Leganés in the Segunda División B, the third tier of Spanish football, during the 2006-07 season. During his single season with the club, he established himself as a regular starter, showcasing his potential as a professional footballer.
2.2. Deportivo
In the summer of 2007, Laure moved to Deportivo de La Coruña. He quickly settled into the club's system, initially playing for its reserves, Deportivo Fabril. His consistent performances there caught the attention of the first-team manager, Miguel Ángel Lotina. On 13 January 2008, Laure made his La Liga debut, stepping in for the injured Manuel Pablo against Villarreal CF. He played the full 90 minutes in a narrow 4-3 away loss. By the end of the 2007-08 season, his contributions earned him a new contract, securing his stay at Deportivo until 2011.
During the 2009-10 season, Laure made 20 appearances, often deployed as a left-back due to a severe ankle injury sustained by the team's primary left-back, Filipe Luís. At one point in January 2010, Deportivo was positioned fourth in the league table, eventually finishing in tenth place. Laure scored his only goal in the top flight on 29 January 2011, contributing to a 3-3 home draw against Sevilla FC.
In the 2011-12 season, Laure experienced his first campaign in the Segunda División following Deportivo's relegation. He was a crucial player, participating in 38 games as the team secured the league title and achieved promotion back to La Liga. He also scored in a 3-2 home victory over Girona FC that season. Two years later, in 2013-14, he helped Deportivo earn another promotion from the second tier, contributing with 36 appearances and one goal. He remained with Deportivo until 2017.
2.3. Alcorcón
On 5 July 2017, Laure signed a three-year contract with AD Alcorcón, a club competing in the Segunda División. He quickly became a pivotal player for the team. In September of the following year, he achieved a remarkable milestone by playing 50 consecutive complete matches, showcasing his exceptional fitness and consistency on the field. Laure remained with Alcorcón until 2022.
2.4. Atlético Baleares and Retirement
Following his time with Alcorcón, Laure joined CD Atlético Baleares. He played for the club from 2022 to 2023, which marked his final period as a professional footballer before his retirement from the sport.
