Kasim Adams Nuhu was born on 22 June 1995, in Kumasi, Ghana. He began his football journey within the youth setup of local club Medeama SC. His senior debut for Medeama SC occurred on 14 April 2013, when he came on as a second-half substitute in a goalless away draw against Heart of Lions FC in the Ghana Premier League. In November 2013, he made a move to CD Leganés in Spain, where he was assigned to the club's youth system to further his development.
2. Club career
Kasim Adams Nuhu's professional club career has spanned several countries, beginning in Ghana and progressing through Spain, Switzerland, and Germany, marked by various loan spells and significant transfers.
2.1. Early career (Medeama and Leganés)
Nuhu started his senior career with Medeama SC in Ghana, making his debut on 14 April 2013 in a 0-0 draw against Heart of Lions FC. Later that year, in November, he moved to Spain to join CD Leganés, where he was integrated into their youth setup.
2.2. Real Mallorca
In January 2014, Kasim Adams Nuhu joined RCD Mallorca on a three-year loan deal, which included a 200.00 K EUR buyout clause. Upon his arrival, he was initially assigned to the reserves team, competing in the Tercera División. During the 2013-14 campaign, he made 17 appearances and scored two goals against Penya Ciutadella and CD Atlético Rafal, contributing to his side's successful return to the Segunda División B on their first attempt.
On 28 September 2014, Nuhu made his professional debut, starting and scoring a brace in a 3-3 home draw against FC Barcelona B in the Segunda División. His strong performance led manager Valeri Karpin to make him a regular starter, prioritizing him over Agus and Joan Truyols. However, Nuhu's position in the first team shifted after the arrival of new manager Fernando Vázquez, under whom he was demoted to fifth choice. Consequently, on 25 August 2016, he was loaned from Mallorca to Swiss club BSC Young Boys for a one-year period.

Upon joining BSC Young Boys, Kasim Adams Nuhu became primarily known as Nuhu. He played a pivotal role in the Young Boys squad that achieved a historic victory in the 2017-18 Swiss Super League. This triumph marked the club's first league title in 32 years, breaking a long-standing drought.
2.4. TSG Hoffenheim
On 25 July 2018, it was officially announced that Kasim Adams Nuhu would transfer to German Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim, signing a five-year contract with the club.
2.4.1. Loans
During his tenure with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Kasim Adams Nuhu experienced two significant loan spells to other clubs.
On 8 August 2019, he was loaned to Fortuna Düsseldorf for the entirety of the 2019-20 season.
Subsequently, on 21 July 2022, Nuhu joined FC Basel on a loan deal that included an option for a permanent transfer. Now more widely recognized as Adams Nuhu in Switzerland, he was integrated into Basel's first team for their 2022-23 season under head coach Alexander Frei. His debut for Basel took place on 24 July in a home game at St. Jakob-Park, which resulted in a 1-1 draw against Servette. Adams Nuhu scored his first goal for the team on 1 February 2023, during an away match in Zürich at the Letzigrund, as part of the third round of the 2022-23 Swiss Cup. This goal contributed to Basel's 5-3 victory over Grasshopper Club, securing their qualification for the quarter-finals.
2.4.2. Departure from Hoffenheim
At the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, FC Basel opted not to activate the permanent buy-out option for Kasim Adams Nuhu, leading to his departure from the club. During his time with Basel, Adams Nuhu played a total of 50 games, scoring three goals. Of these, 28 appearances were in the Swiss Super League, three in the Swiss Cup, 15 in the UEFA Europa Conference League, and four were friendly matches. He scored one goal in the domestic league, one in the cup, and one in the European competitions. On 21 May 2024, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim announced that Nuhu would leave the club at the end of the season, following the expiration of his contract.
2.5. Servette
On 30 August 2024, Kasim Adams Nuhu made his return to Switzerland, signing with Servette FC.
3. International career
Kasim Adams Nuhu made his international debut for the Ghana national football team on 12 November 2017, in a match against the Saudi Arabia national team. Notably, he scored a goal on his debut. He was also part of the Ghana squad that participated in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
