Kaho Takada

1.1. Childhood and background

Born on May 31, 1996, in Tokyo, Japan, Kaho Takada grew up in a family described as having "good athletic ability." During her elementary school years, she attended a swimming school, where she achieved the highest rank in all strokes except diving, including crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly stroke. In junior high school, she was a member of the track and field club, primarily focusing on the long jump. While she reportedly faced a challenge breaking the 16 ft ^{(5 m)} barrier, her personal best was around 15 ft ^{(4.5 m)}. She achieved an 8th-place finish in a branch tournament and placed in a metropolitan tournament. Her family's athletic inclinations extended to her younger siblings: her sister was also a fast runner, and her brother entered high school with a scholarship for basketball. Her mother had played volleyball, and her father enjoyed surfing.

1.2. Entertainment career debut

Takada's entry into the entertainment industry was rather serendipitous. While a second-year high school student, she was walking in Harajuku with friends from her dance club, still in their school uniforms, when she was approached for a street interview for the television program Sanma's Super Karakuri TV. This interview led to an invitation to appear in the studio. It was during an appearance on this program, specifically in a segment featuring high school girls during summer vacation where she was among 20 girls seated on a platform, that a manager from Production Ogi spotted her briefly on screen and scouted her. She officially began her professional activities in 2014.

Takada has taken on various roles in television dramas, films, and stage productions, showcasing her versatility as an actress.

Beyond acting, Kaho Takada has been a regular presence on various television and radio programs:

Kaho Takada has also embarked on a career as a singer, releasing singles and contributing to various media projects.

2.5. Other activities

Kaho Takada has participated in various special events and public engagements throughout her career. In 2014, she won the 31st All-Japan Ninja Championship Tournament, an event she participated in as part of a project for the NHK program R no Hōsoku. In 2016, she completed the Yokohama Marathon in approximately five hours.

On March 24, 2019, Takada performed the ceremonial first pitch at Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium Hiroshima for a game between the Hiroshima Toyo Carp and the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. She wore the red away uniform of Carp player Kaito Kozono and used a glove borrowed from former Carp and New York Yankees pitcher Hiroki Kuroda, successfully delivering a no-bounce pitch. The batter for the pitch was Taisei Makihara, the catcher was Keiyoku Ishihara, and the umpire was the Carp mascot, Slyly. The same day, it was announced that she would make her singing debut with the song "Daikōkai 2020 ~Koi yori Suki ja, Dame desu ka? ver.~," which was used as an insert song for her starring drama, Is it okay if I love you more than love?
