On 25 February 2011, Juninho signed a one-year loan agreement with Daegu FC, a club competing in the K League in South Korea. During his time with Daegu FC, his registered name in the K League was 주닝요JuningyoKorean. He made his debut for Daegu FC on 5 March 2011, in a match against Gwangju FC. The game was held at Gwangju World Cup Stadium and resulted in a 2-3 loss for Daegu FC.
