Throughout his professional career, he played for several clubs in Japan, including Shimizu S-Pulse, Vegalta Sendai, Mito HollyHock, and Giravanz Kitakyushu, before concluding his playing days with FC Gifu SECOND. After retiring from playing, he transitioned into a coaching role.

Jun Muramatsu was born on April 10, 1982, in Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, specifically in Suruga-ku. He stands at 67 in (170 cm) tall and weighs 141 lb (64 kg). His preferred foot for playing was his left foot.
3. Playing Career
Muramatsu's football career spanned from his youth development through various professional clubs, culminating in his retirement from playing in 2012.
3.1. Youth Career
Muramatsu began his football journey at a young age, playing for the Nakaida Soccer Sports Youth Team during his elementary school years. He then progressed through the youth system of Shimizu S-Pulse, joining their Junior Youth team and subsequently their Youth team.
3.2. Professional Clubs
Muramatsu's professional career saw him play for five different clubs across the J.League and regional leagues.
3.2.1. Shimizu S-Pulse
Muramatsu joined the senior team of J1 League club Shimizu S-Pulse in 2001, being promoted alongside players like Daisuke Ichikawa, Yuzo Wada, and Retsu Tanigawa from the youth team. He made his professional debut in 2002. His opportunities to play as a defensive midfielder steadily increased until the 2004 season. However, his playing time significantly diminished in 2005, leading to limited appearances.
3.2.2. Vegalta Sendai
In 2006, Muramatsu moved to J2 League club Vegalta Sendai. Despite the move, he struggled to secure consistent playing time and was released by the club after just one season.
3.2.3. Mito HollyHock
Muramatsu joined another J2 League club, Mito HollyHock, in 2007. This move proved to be a turning point in his career, as he established himself as a regular starter and a key player in the defensive midfield position. He maintained a central role with the club for three seasons, including making 36 league appearances in 2009. Following the 2009 season, his contract expired, and he departed the club along with other key players such as Kazuhiro Suzuki and Taisho Kanazawa.
3.2.4. Giravanz Kitakyushu
In 2010, Muramatsu transferred to Giravanz Kitakyushu, a club that had recently been promoted to the J2 League. However, he once again found playing opportunities limited during his tenure there. After one season, his contract expired, and he left the club.
3.2.5. FC Gifu SECOND
From 2011, Muramatsu moved to FC Gifu SECOND, which played in the Tokai Adult League Division 1. He played as an amateur player for two seasons with the club.

Jun Muramatsu retired from professional football at the end of the 2012 season, following his stint with FC Gifu SECOND.
4. National Team Career
Muramatsu represented Japan at the youth level. In 1998, he was a member of the U-16 Japan national team.
5. Coaching Career
After his retirement as a player, Muramatsu transitioned into coaching. Since 2013, he has been serving as a coach at the Shimizu S-Pulse Soccer School, returning to his former club.
