2.1. Early Career
Ogu began his youth football development at local academies in Nigeria, including Akwa Starlets, Akwa United, and the Flying Sports Academy. On September 23, 2006, he initiated his senior career in Slovenia, signing with NK Drava Ptuj of the Slovenian PrvaLiga. During his four-year tenure with Drava Ptuj, Ogu made 97 appearances and scored eight goals, marking his first professional contributions.
