2.1. Early career and debut (2008-2010)

Jasmine Rae began her professional music career in 2008 when she successfully auditioned for and won the Telstra Road to Tamworth competition. This victory earned her a recording contract with ABC Music and a performance opportunity at the 2008 CMA Music Festival in Nashville, United States. In September 2008, Rae released her debut studio album, Look It Up. The album's title track, "Look It Up", gained further recognition when it was covered by American country artist Ashton Shepherd, becoming a Top 20 hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In 2009, Rae further expanded her reach by touring with the acclaimed American country duo Brooks & Dunn.

2.2. Listen Here and breakthrough (2011-2012)

In March 2011, Rae released her second studio album, Listen Here. The album achieved commercial success, debuting at number one on the ARIA Australian Artists Country Chart and reaching number 35 on the overall ARIA Albums Chart. Several singles from the album, including "Hunky Country Boys" and "I'll Try Anything", topped the Australian Country airplay charts. These songs, along with "I Faked It", also reached number one on the CMC Music Video Chart. Listen Here received an ARIA Award for Best Country Album nomination. The following January, Rae was nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the Australian Country Music Awards, also known as the Golden Guitar Awards. In 2012, Australian music fans voted Jasmine Rae as the CMC Oz Artist of the Year, a significant achievement as she remains the only female solo artist to have won this award. In November 2012, Rae released a Christmas EP titled Santa's Little Helper. Her international recognition grew in 2013 when she was honored with a CMA Award (US) for Global Artist of the Year.

2.3. If I Want To and continued success (2013-2014)

August 2013 saw the release of Rae's third studio album, If I Want To. The album's title track quickly ascended to the top of the CMC Top 30 Countdown chart, maintaining its leading position for four consecutive weeks, and also topped the Australian Country Radio charts. If I Want To was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Country Album and received four Golden Guitar Award nominations at the 2014 CMA Awards: Album of the Year, Top Selling Album of the Year, Single of the Year, and Female Artist of the Year. In March 2014, Jasmine Rae secured her second CMC Music Award, winning 'Female Oz Artist of the Year.' In August 2014, Rae featured on "Quit This Time", a song by fellow Australian country musician Adam Brand, from his album My Side of the Street.

2.4. Heartbeat and active touring (2015-2019)

On May 15, 2015, Rae released her fourth album, Heartbeat, through ABC Music and Universal Music Australia. The single "Heartbeat" became her ninth number-one Australian country single. Another significant song from the album, "When I Found You"-which she originally composed for her best friend's wedding-garnered over 10 million views on YouTube. The track "Everybody Wants to Take My Money" was a finalist in the 2016 International Songwriting Competition. Heartbeat earned two Golden Guitar nominations in 2016. Rae was also a consistent nominee for the CMC 'Female Oz Artist of the Year' in both 2016 and 2017. Like If I Want To, the Heartbeat album was produced by Luke Wooten. In 2018, Jasmine embarked on a tour with American country singer Granger Smith and commenced writing new material for an upcoming album. The year 2019 saw the release of two new singles, "Right Now" and "Party on the Couch", the latter being her first official music video in over two and a half years. Rae was also announced as an artist on the line-up for CMC Rocks QLD 2020.

2.5. Lion Side and recent activities (2020-present)

In 2020, Jasmine Rae released new singles "Green Light" and "Don't Do It for the Haters", alongside her fifth studio album, Lion Side. The album was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Country Album. It performed well on the charts, peaking at number 11 on the ARIA Albums Chart, number 2 on the AIR Independent Albums chart, and number 1 on the ARIA Australian Country Albums chart. Rae continued to receive industry recognition, earning nominations for 'Female Artist of the Year' and 'Contemporary Country Album of the Year' at the 2021 Golden Guitar Awards.
