1. Early life and background
Ichiro Suzuki's early life was marked by his family's deep connection to baseball and his eventual pivot to football, where he found his passion.
1.1. Birth and childhood
Ichiro Suzuki was born on August 1, 1995, in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. His unique name, identical to the legendary baseball player Ichiro Suzuki, was given to him by his baseball-loving grandfather, who harbored strong expectations for him to pursue a career in baseball. Suzuki began playing baseball as a pitcher for Kuchikawa Fighters in his first grade of elementary school. Despite being naturally right-handed, he was encouraged by his grandfather to bat left-handed, mirroring the famous baseball player. The pressure associated with his name and his grandfather's expectations led Suzuki to switch to football in his fifth grade, seeking a different path. Upon this transition, he joined Grulla Morioka Junior, marking the beginning of his football journey.
1.2. Youth and university career
Suzuki continued to develop his football skills throughout his youth and university years. After playing for Midorioka Soccer Club 64 in his early youth, he formally joined Grulla Morioka Junior from 2005 to 2007. He attended Aomori Yamada Junior High School in 2008 and later Morioka City Chugai Junior High School from 2009 to 2010. For his high school education, he attended Morioka Chuo High School from 2011 to 2013. Following high school, Suzuki enrolled in Fuji University, where he played for the Fuji University Soccer Club from 2014 to 2017, honing his abilities as a collegiate athlete.

Suzuki's professional career began during his university studies and saw him move through several clubs across various Japanese football leagues.
2.1. Professional debut and early career
While still a student at Fuji University, Ichiro Suzuki was approved as a specially designated player in June 2016, allowing him to be registered as a player for Iwate Grulla Morioka. He made his professional debut in the J3 League on July 3, 2016, in a match against Gainare Tottori at Iwagin Stadium (formerly Morioka Minami Koen Kyugijo), playing four matches during his initial stint as a specially designated player without scoring. This early exposure provided him with vital experience in professional football.
2.2. Subsequent club transfers
After his initial debut, Suzuki officially joined Iwaki FC in 2018, where he played for two seasons. During his time at Iwaki FC, he made 16 appearances and scored 8 goals in the Tohoku Soccer League Division 2 South in 2018, and 7 appearances with 1 goal in the Tohoku Soccer League Division 1 in 2019.
