Hidekazu Himaruya was born on May 8, 1985, in Kōriyama, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. His blood type is O. While he has resided in Japan, he currently lives in New York City, United States.

Himaruya pursued studies at the Parsons School of Design in the United States, but he ultimately decided to drop out before completing his degree.

2.1. Early Career and Debut
Himaruya began his creative endeavors online in 2003. In March 2003, his work "Susume! Kitakō Hōsō-bu" (すすめ!きたこー放送部Japanese, "Go! Kitakō Broadcasting Club") was a finalist for both the Tezuka Award and the Akatsuka Award, prestigious awards presented by Shueisha. Later that year, in September 2003, his piece "Inaka no Nono" (いなかのノノJapanese, "Nono of the Countryside") also reached the final selection for the Tezuka and Akatsuka Awards.
His commercial debut as a manga artist came in March 2008 with the publication of Hetalia: Axis Powers by Gentosha. Following this, in February 2009, he began the serialization of Chibisan Date (ちびさんデイトJapanese) in the April issue of Comic Birz. In September 2013, his series Taishō Roman Oni-san Yameteee!! (大正浪漫 鬼さんやめてえぇっ!!Japanese, "Taishō Romance: Demon, Stop It!!") started serialization in Shueisha's Jump SQ.. A year later, in September 2014, Hetalia World☆Stars (ヘタリア World☆StarsJapanese), a continuation of his most famous work, began serialization on Shueisha's web platform Shonen Jump+. Sōri Club (総理倶楽部Japanese, "Prime Minister's Club") is a manga series by Himaruya, with Kenichi Sakura responsible for the storyboard composition. The series began serialization in Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine with its February 2021 issue. It ran until the November 2023 issue, concluding on October 3, 2023. The series was compiled into seven collected volumes.
2.2.4. Taishō Roman Oni-san Yameteee!!
Taishō Roman Oni-san Yameteee!! (大正浪漫 鬼さんやめてえぇっ!!Japanese, "Taishō Romance: Demon, Stop It!!") was serialized in Shueisha's Jump SQ. from its September 2013 issue to its August 2014 issue. The manga was collected into two volumes by Shueisha.
