2.1. FK Borac Čačak
Mladenović started his senior career with his local club, Borac Čačak, in the Serbian SuperLiga. He became a member of the senior team during the 2010-11 season, making 18 league appearances in his debut year. Throughout his time at Borac Čačak, he played primarily as a left-back, accumulating 31 appearances for the club.
2.2. Red Star Belgrade
On December 17, 2011, Mladenović signed a four-year contract with Red Star Belgrade, a prominent club in the Serbian SuperLiga. During the summer of 2013, Red Star participated in the Uhrencup in Switzerland, where they faced FC Basel in the final, losing 2-1.
