Born on January 29, 1948, in Genoa, Italy, Delia Boccardo spent her formative years, including her childhood and adolescence, in Nervi, a picturesque district of Genoa. Her education was international and varied; she attended a college in Switzerland, the prestigious Poggio Imperiale girls' school in Florence, and spent approximately three years studying at a college in Sussex, England.

1.2. Career Beginnings

In 1965, Boccardo relocated to Rome, the heart of Italian cinema, where she enrolled at the renowned Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, a national film school. Her film debut came swiftly in 1966 with the Spaghetti Western Death Walks in Laredo. The following year, in 1967, she made her stage debut, performing alongside the acclaimed actor Raf Vallone in the play Uno sguardo dal ponte (A View from the Bridge).

1.3. Stage and Television Focus

From the mid-1980s, Delia Boccardo increasingly concentrated her acting career on the stage and in television productions. She worked intensively in theatre, notably collaborating with the celebrated Italian director Luca Ronconi, known for his innovative and often experimental theatrical productions.
