Corominas was born on 5 January 1983, in Vilobí d'Onyar, a municipality located in the Girona province of Catalonia, Spain. He stands at 67 in (171 cm) tall.
1.2. Youth and Junior Career
Corominas developed his footballing talents through the youth system of RCD Espanyol, a prominent club in Catalonia. His promising abilities were recognized early, leading to his selection for various Spanish youth national teams. He made two appearances for the Spain U-17 team, scoring one goal. For the Spain U-19 team, he played seven matches and scored one goal. He also featured in six games for the Spain U-20 team.
2. Club Career
Corominas's professional club career spanned multiple divisions and countries, characterized by his consistent scoring and significant contributions to his teams, particularly during his long spell at Espanyol and highly successful period in India with FC Goa.
2.1. Espanyol
As a product of Espanyol's youth system, Corominas spent his initial professional seasons with the reserve side in the Segunda División B. He notably made 98 appearances and scored 35 goals for Espanyol B between 2001 and 2004. He made his first-team debut for Espanyol on 2 November 2003, in a Real Zaragoza home match which resulted in a 2-0 loss.
One of his most memorable moments came on the final matchday of the 2005-06 season, on 13 May 2006, when Corominas scored a last-minute goal against Real Sociedad. This crucial 1-0 victory saved Espanyol's La Liga status and resulted in Alavés being relegated. That same season, he also contributed significantly to Espanyol's success in the Copa del Rey, scoring a goal in the final against Real Zaragoza, which Espanyol won 4-1.
In the 2006-07 season, Corominas scored four league goals in 30 appearances. He further impressed in the UEFA Cup, where Espanyol finished as runners-up. He followed this with two consecutive hat-tricks on 30 November and 9 December, helping his team to victories over Bengaluru (4-3) and Kerala Blasters (5-2) respectively. In the 2017-18 season, he earned the Golden Boot award for being the league's top scorer with 18 goals.
Corominas renewed his contract with FC Goa for another year on 30 April 2018. He maintained his impressive form in the following season, again leading the league in scoring with 16 goals. For his outstanding performance, he was also awarded the Golden Ball and helped his team reach the finals. On 25 May 2019, Corominas agreed to yet another extension at the Fatorda Stadium. He eventually left FC Goa at the end of the 2019-20 season.
