Caiuby was born on 14 July 1988, in São Paulo, Brazil. He stands at 72 in (184 cm) tall.
2. Club career
Caiuby's professional football journey began in Brazil, before he moved to Germany, where he spent a significant portion of his career with clubs like VfL Wolfsburg and FC Augsburg, alongside various loan spells. He later played in Switzerland and Greece before returning to Germany.
2.1. Early career in Brazil
Caiuby started his professional career in Brazil. His early clubs included Ferroviária, where he made 10 appearances and scored 1 goal between 2005 and 2006. He then moved to São Paulo FC in 2007, though he did not make any appearances for the senior team. From 2007 to 2008, he was with Corinthians, also without senior appearances. In 2008, he joined Guaratinguetá. During his time with Guaratinguetá, he was loaned to AD São Caetano, where he played 11 matches and scored 6 goals.
2.2. VfL Wolfsburg and loans
On 29 August 2008, Caiuby moved to Germany, signing a contract with VfL Wolfsburg until 2013. He made 9 appearances and scored 1 goal during his time with the club.

To gain more playing experience, VfL Wolfsburg loaned Caiuby to 2. Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg for one year on 20 July 2009. He played his first game for Duisburg in a friendly match against Club Brugge. During his loan spell, he made 30 appearances and scored 5 goals. After his loan ended, he returned to VfL Wolfsburg but struggled to establish himself in the team. In January 2011, he was loaned out again, this time to FC Ingolstadt 04. He remained with Ingolstadt on loan until 2012, making 41 appearances and scoring 6 goals.
2.3. FC Augsburg
Following his loan spell, Caiuby made a permanent move to FC Ingolstadt 04 in 2012, playing for them until 2014. During this period, he made 63 appearances and scored 15 goals.
In 2014, Caiuby transferred to FC Augsburg, where he spent a significant period of his career until 2019. For FC Augsburg, he played 100 matches and scored 11 goals, becoming a key player for the club.
2.4. Later career
In February 2019, Caiuby was loaned by FC Augsburg to Swiss club Grasshopper Club Zürich until the end of the season. He made 9 appearances during this loan spell without scoring a goal.
He returned to FC Ingolstadt 04 in January 2021 but left the club in June 2021. In February 2022, Caiuby joined Kavala, a Greek club competing in the Super League Greece 2, the second tier of Greek football. On 19 August 2022, Caiuby returned to Germany, signing with Regionalliga Bayern club Türkgücü München, which had recently been relegated.
