Pintado is married to Karen Palaguachi, and they have two children: a son named Daniel Nicolas, born in 2014, and a daughter named Montserrath, born in 2020. His brother-in-law, Claudio Villanueva, is also a notable racewalker who secured a gold medal in the 50 kilometres race walk at the 2019 Pan American Games. Pintado stands at 66 in (168 cm) tall and weighs 126 lb (57 kg).
