Božović had a professional career as a football player across different leagues and countries.
2.1. Club Career
Božović began his career with FK Borac Čačak and played in the Yugoslav Second League for two seasons, specifically during the 1988-89 and 1990-91 periods. He subsequently joined Budućnost Titograd, where he competed in the 1991-92 Yugoslav First League. Later in his career, Božović also played indoor soccer in the United States. In 1996, he moved to South Korea to play for Ulsan Hyundai in the K-League, where he played for one season, specifically during the 1996 K League season. During his time in the K-League, he was registered under the name "Branko".
2.2. International Career
At the international level, Božović represented Yugoslavia in the under-16 and under-21 categories.
3. Managerial Career
After concluding his playing career, Božović transitioned into football management, taking on various roles across different countries.
He served as manager for several clubs in his home country, Serbia, including Mladost Lučani, Takovo, and Timočanin. He also had two separate stints as manager of FK Polet Ljubić. Božović later worked as an assistant coach to Veselin Jelušić at the Angolan club Interclube. In April 2022, Božović was appointed as the manager of King Faisal, a club competing in the Ghana Premier League. He remained in this position until October of the same year.
