Agustín Maximiliano Rogel Paita (born 17 October 1997) is an Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a centre-back. Standing at 75 in (191 cm) and weighing 192 lb (87 kg), Rogel is known for his defensive capabilities. He is currently on loan at Brasileirão club Internacional from German side Hertha BSC, and also represents the Uruguay national team. His professional career began at Nacional in Uruguay, followed by spells in Russia, France, and Argentina, before moving to Germany and then Brazil.

2. Youth Career
Agustín Rogel developed his early football skills within the youth academy of Nacional in Uruguay. He was part of Nacional's youth system until 2017, where he honed his abilities as a defender. During his formative years, Rogel also gained significant experience on the international stage. He was a key member of the Uruguay national under-20 team from 2016 to 2017, making 18 appearances and scoring one goal. His contributions were instrumental in the team's success, including winning the 2017 South American U-20 Championship. Furthermore, he participated in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in South Korea, where Uruguay achieved a commendable third-place finish.
3. Professional Career

3.1. Nacional
Agustín Rogel began his professional career at Nacional. He was integrated into the first team during the 2015-16 pre-season. However, his early progress was hampered by a meniscus injury that required surgery, sidelining him for six months. Despite this setback, Rogel made his professional debut for Nacional on 15 March 2016, coming on as a substitute in a Copa Libertadores match against Venezuelan side Zulia, which ended in a 1-0 defeat. He subsequently made his league debut in 2016. During his time at Nacional from 2017 to 2018, he made 14 appearances and scored 2 goals. On 3 May 2018, his agent confirmed that Rogel had turned down a contract offer from English club Leeds United.
3.2. Krylia Sovetov Samara
On 30 August 2018, Rogel moved to Russia, signing a four-year contract with Krylia Sovetov Samara. During his tenure with the Russian club from 2018 to 2019, he made 14 appearances.
3.3. Toulouse FC
Rogel's career then took him to France, where he signed a four-year contract with Toulouse on 19 July 2019. He played for the French club from 2019 to 2022, making 10 appearances. During his time with Toulouse, he was loaned to Argentine Primera División side Estudiantes de La Plata on 19 February 2021, for a deal that lasted until the end of the season. His contract with Toulouse was eventually terminated on 13 January 2022.
3.4. Estudiantes de La Plata
Following his loan spell, Agustín Rogel returned to Estudiantes de La Plata on a permanent basis, signing a one-year contract on 17 January 2022. His first period on loan in 2021 saw him make 33 appearances and score 1 goal. In his subsequent return in 2022, he played 23 matches and scored 3 goals for Estudiantes.
3.5. Hertha BSC
On 31 August 2022, Rogel made a move to Germany, joining Bundesliga club Hertha BSC. He signed a four-year deal with the club, which is set to run until June 2026. As of his time with Hertha BSC, he has made 20 appearances for the club.
