3. Playing Career
Abdul Hadi Abdul Hamid's playing career spanned from his youth development to his professional retirement, primarily with Kedah FA and representing the Malaysian national youth teams.
3.1. Club Career
Abdul Hadi began his football journey with the Kedah FA President's Cup team in 2005. He gained early recognition by winning a silver medal in football at the 2006 Sukma Games. His performance led to his promotion to the senior squad in 2006 by then-coach Mohd Azraai Khor Abdullah. Hadi was brought in as a backup for the first-choice goalkeeper, Mohd Helmi Eliza Elias. This move was necessitated by the departure of Megat Amir Faisal Al Khalidi Ibrahim, who left Kedah FA to join Selangor FA.
Abdul Hadi made his first-team debut for Kedah FA in a Malaysia Super League match against Perak FA on January 3, 2007. He was substituted into the game after Helmi Eliza was sent off. Kedah went on to win the match 4-3 at their home ground, Darulaman Stadium. He remained with Kedah FA throughout his entire professional playing career until his retirement in 2019. During his time with the club, he made 65 appearances.

Abdul Hadi earned his first call-up to the Malaysia U-20 squad in 2005, continuing through 2006. He played alongside notable teammates such as Baddrol Bakhtiar, Mohd Khyril Muhymeen Zambri, Muhammad Shafiq Jamal, Mohd Bunyamin Umar, and Mohd Sabre Mat Abu. Under the guidance of coach K. Rajagopal, Hadi established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the U-20 side.
He made his major international debut in the AFC Youth Championship 2006 qualifying round on December 12, 2005, in a match against the Myanmar at Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia secured a 4-2 victory in that game. He made a total of 10 appearances for the Malaysia U-20 team. Although he was called up to the senior national team, he did not make any official appearances.
4. Coaching Career
Following his retirement from professional football, Abdul Hadi Abdul Hamid transitioned into a coaching role. On November 28, 2019, he officially joined the Kedah FA coaching team management. He was appointed as the assistant goalkeeping coach for the 2020 Malaysia Super League season.
