Susan Kellermann

Susan Kellermann was born on July 4, 1944, in the United States. She is the cousin of actress Barbara Kellermann.

2.2. Education

Kellermann pursued higher education at Randolph College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature. Following her academic studies, she further developed her craft in acting by training at the renowned Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. During her time there, she had the opportunity to study under the influential acting teacher Sanford Meisner.

Kellermann initiated her professional acting career on television in 1977, making her debut in an episode of the satirical soap opera Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman. She continued to build her television presence with appearances in Starsky & Hutch in 1978 and Laverne & Shirley in 1979, marking her early steps in the entertainment industry.

In television, Kellermann is widely recognized for her recurring role as Greta Gravas, the mother of the character Latka, appearing in three episodes of the popular sitcom Taxi between 1979 and 1981. It is notable that despite portraying Latka's mother, Kellermann was only four years older than actor Andy Kaufman, who played Latka. Her extensive television work also includes a voice role in 13 episodes of Courage the Cowardly Dog from 2000 to 2001.
