In 2024, he made 34 appearances for the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees, where he posted a strong 5-1 record with a 2.45 ERA and 61 strikeouts over 62 and 1/3 innings. This performance led to his selection to the 40-man roster and promotion to Major League Baseball for the first time on August 27, 2024. He made his MLB debut on the same day against the Detroit Tigers, pitching a scoreless relief inning. Miller became the fifth alumnus of the Sioux Falls Canaries to reach MLB. Coincidentally, the only other former Canary in MLB at the time, John Brebbia, was designated for assignment on the very same day. During his rookie campaign, Miller appeared in 13 games, logging a 4.15 ERA with 11 strikeouts over 13 innings pitched. On November 7, he was designated for assignment by the Angels to make room on the 40-man roster for Kyle Hendricks. Miller was subsequently released by the team on November 12.
