However, Park quickly silenced doubts, making his league debut as a starter on March 16 in the second round match against Seongnam at Tancheon. Three days later, in a League Cup match against Jeju at home, he scored his professional debut goal in the 29th minute of the first half, contributing to the team's decisive victory. He became a reliable presence in the midfield, playing a crucial role in Suwon's league championship win, their first in four years. However, on May 5, he suffered a ligament rupture during a match against Jeonbuk, which sidelined him for approximately three months. This injury proved to be a significant setback, ultimately costing him the Rookie of the Year award. On July 19, 2011, after a year and a half away, he returned to Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

In December 2009, Park Hyun-beom transferred to Jeju United along with teammate Bae Ki-jong.
