In 2011, he appeared in MBC's sitcom High Kick Season 3, further boosting his popularity. His character, Ahn Jong-suk, became widely known for the cute "Bbuing Bbuing" gesture and phrase, which became a national trend in Korea. Following the success of School 2013, Lee starred in the critically acclaimed SBS drama series I Can Hear Your Voice alongside Lee Bo-young in June 2013. He played Park Soo-ha, an intelligent young man with psychic powers who can read minds. The drama was originally slated for 16 episodes but was extended by two due to its high ratings, reaching a peak of 24.1% in Korea.
