1.1. Childhood and education
Kim Min-june began his football journey at the Cheongnam Elementary School football club in Cheongju. He continued his youth development in Jeollanam-do, attending Gwangyang Jecheol Middle School and Gwangyang Jecheol High School in Gwangyang. Following his high school career, he further pursued his football aspirations by playing university football for Hannam University football club.
1.2. Youth national team career
During his youth, Kim Min-june was recognized for his talent and was selected to represent the Republic of Korea U-17 national team and the Republic of Korea U-20 national team. He made three appearances for each of these youth national squads, gaining valuable international experience.
2. Club career
Kim Min-june's professional career began in the K League, leading him through several clubs where he gained experience in various South Korean football divisions.
2.1. Hannam University
Kim Min-june played university football with the Hannam University football club. During his time in 2014, he participated in one cup match, scoring one goal for the team.
2.2. Gangwon FC
On 28 December 2016, Kim Min-june joined K League Classic club Gangwon FC as a rookie free agent. He made his professional debut in the 2017 K League Classic season, starting in the fourth round match against Ulsan Hyundai. Although he did not receive many further opportunities in the main squad, he primarily played in the R League (Reserve League).
