Jenna Lee Dewan was born on December 3, 1980, in Hartford, Connecticut. Her parents are Nancy Smith (née Bursch) and Darryll Dewan, who was a running back for the 1972 Notre Dame football team. Her father has Syrian, Lebanese, and Polish ancestry, while her mother is of Cornish, German, and English descent. Dewan's parents divorced when she was young.
Due to her father's career, Dewan moved frequently during her childhood, living in seven different cities before entering the seventh grade. She attended Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson, Maryland, where she was a varsity cheerleader. She later transferred to Grapevine High School in Grapevine, Texas, where she continued as a varsity cheerleader and was elected prom queen in her senior year. 6. Personal life
Jenna Dewan began dating actor Channing Tatum in 2006, after they met on the set of their film Step Up. The couple became engaged in September 2008 and married on July 11, 2009, in Malibu, California. They welcomed their daughter, Everly Elizabeth Maiselle Tatum, on May 31, 2013. On April 2, 2018, Dewan and Tatum announced their separation, and Dewan filed for divorce six months later. Their divorce was finalized in November 2019.
In October 2018, it was confirmed that Dewan was in a relationship with actor Steve Kazee. They announced their engagement in February 2020. Their first child together, a son named Callum Michael Rebel Kazee, was born on March 6, 2020. On January 17, 2024, Dewan confirmed via her Instagram that she and Kazee were expecting their second child. Their second daughter, Rhiannon Lee Kathryn Kazee, was born on June 14, 2024.
