Jay Fulton was born on 4 April 1994 in Bolton, England. He grew up in a family with a strong footballing heritage, being a third-generation footballer. His grandfather, Norrie Fulton, was also a professional footballer who notably played for Pollok and scored the winning goal in the 1981 Scottish Junior Cup Final. His father, Steve Fulton, was a prominent player for clubs such as Falkirk, Celtic, and Heart of Midlothian. Jay was born during his father's brief period playing for Bolton Wanderers. Furthermore, Jay's brothers, Dale Fulton and Tyler Fulton, also pursued professional football careers, both playing for Falkirk. 2. Club career
Jay Fulton's club career began in Scotland, where he honed his skills through various youth systems before making his professional debut. He later transitioned to English football, where he has primarily played for Swansea City, interspersed with loan moves to other clubs.
2.1. Falkirk
Fulton began his youth football career with periods at the youth academies of prominent Scottish clubs, Celtic and Heart of Midlothian, before completing his development at Falkirk. He made his professional first-team debut for Falkirk at the age of 17 on 12 April 2011, coming on as a substitute in a match against Partick Thistle in the Scottish First Division, which Falkirk won 2-1. He made one additional appearance in that season, a 2-0 home victory against the same opponent. 2.2. Swansea City
Jay Fulton signed for Welsh club Swansea City on the final day of the January 2014 transfer window.
