Han Jong-Woo began his professional journey after being selected by Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in the 2009 K-League Draft. Despite his selection, he did not make any appearances in league matches for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. Following the conclusion of the 2009 season, he moved to Yongin City FC. He later played for Mokpo City FC before joining Bucheon FC 1995 in the Challengers League in 2012.
With Bucheon FC 1995, Han Jong-Woo returned to the professional stage when the club entered the K League Challenge in 2013, solidifying his presence in South Korean professional football. His contract with Bucheon FC 1995 expired after the 2014 season, leading to his departure.
In 2015, he signed with Pocheon Citizen FC. He then joined Gimpo Citizen FC before the start of the 2016 season. Han Jong-Woo concluded his professional playing career at the end of the 2021 season while still with Gimpo Citizen FC.
