Eva Amurri

2.1. Childhood and Family

Eva Amurri was born on March 15, 1985, in New York City. Her parents are Italian film director Franco Amurri and American actress Susan Sarandon. Her maternal grandmother also had Italian ancestry. Amurri was primarily raised by her mother and her mother's long-time partner, Tim Robbins. She has two maternal half-brothers, Jack and Miles. From her father's marriage to Heide Lund, she has two paternal half-siblings, Leone and Augusta. Additionally, she has two stepsisters, Tallulah and Ruby, from Lund's previous marriage to Lord Antony Isaacs, who was the son of Michael Isaacs, 3rd Marquess of Reading. Her paternal grandfather was the screenwriter Antonio Amurri.

Amurri attended Friends Seminary for middle school in Manhattan. She later graduated from Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn, New York. She continued her education at Brown University, where she majored in Italian studies and graduated in 2007.

Amurri began her acting career at the age of seven. One of her early notable roles was in the 2002 comedy film The Banger Sisters, where she played Ginger Kingsley, the daughter of her mother's character. For this role, she received a Young Artist Award. In 2001, she guest-starred alongside her mother in an episode of the popular television series Friends, specifically Season 7 Episode 15, titled "The One with Joey's New Brain", in which her character was slapped by Sarandon's character. In 2008, she played the leading role of Grace Berry in the film Middle of Nowhere. She also appeared in The Life Before Her Eyes (2007) and a segment of New York, I Love You (2008) as Sarah. In 2011, she starred as Amy Moore in the thriller film Isolation, directed by Stephen T. Kay. In 2012, she appeared in Happy Madison Productions' That's My Boy as young Mary McGarricle, with her mother portraying the older version of the character. Her film credits also include AmeriQua (2013), Stag (2013), and Mothers and Daughters (2016), where she played Gayle.

On television, beyond her guest appearance in Friends, Amurri was a guest host on Attack of the Show! with Kevin Pereira. In 2009, she had a recurring role in the third season of the Showtime series Californication, where she played Jackie, a character who was a stripper, a student, and a love interest of the central character Hank Moody (played by David Duchovny) across nine episodes. She appeared as Shelly in two episodes of How I Met Your Mother, first in 2009 ("The Playbook") and again in 2014. In 2010, she appeared in the Fox series House as Nicole in the episode "The Choice". Other television appearances include Mercy (2010), Childrens Hospital (2010), Fish Hooks (2011), New Girl (2011, 2013), Guys with Kids (2012), The Mindy Project (2013), Undateable (2014), and the miniseries The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe (2015), where she portrayed Young Gladys Monroe Mortenson. 4.1. Marriage and Children

On October 29, 2011, Eva Amurri married Kyle Martino, a former Major League Soccer player and former NBC Sports broadcaster, in Charleston, South Carolina. Together, they have three children. Their first child, daughter Marlowe Mae, was born on August 9, 2014. Their second child, son Major James, was born on October 19, 2016. Their third child, son Mateo Antoni, was born on March 13, 2020. In August 2015, Amurri publicly shared her experience with a miscarriage, which occurred at nine weeks of pregnancy.
