Emilie Haavi has built a notable career across several clubs, showcasing her versatility as an attacking midfielder and winger. Her professional journey began in Norway before a brief stint in the United States and her current success in Italy.
1.1. Røa IL
Haavi started her senior club career with Røa IL in the Toppserien, Norway's top women's football league, playing for the club from 2008 to 2012. During her tenure, she made 74 appearances in the league, scoring 40 goals. She played a key role in Røa's success, contributing to three Toppserien championships in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Additionally, she helped the team secure three Norwegian Women's Cup titles in 2008, 2009, and 2010. She also participated in continental competitions, making 10 appearances and scoring 3 goals. In the 2011 season, she was particularly prolific, scoring 16 league goals and 19 goals across all competitions.
1.2. LSK Kvinner FK
Following her successful period at Røa, Haavi joined LSK Kvinner FK, where she had two significant spells. Her first period was from 2013 to 2016. During this time, she played 84 league matches and scored 50 goals. She was instrumental in LSK Kvinner's dominance, contributing to their multiple Toppserien titles in 2014, 2015, and 2016, and three Norwegian Women's Cup victories in 2014, 2015, and 2016. In 2014, she scored 16 league goals, and in 2016, she scored 13 league goals. Across all competitions during this first stint, she amassed 67 goals in 108 appearances.
1.3. Boston Breakers
On October 31, 2016, Haavi signed with the Boston Breakers of the NWSL in the United States. However, her time in the NWSL was brief. She made 7 appearances for the club without scoring a goal. In August 2017, the Boston Breakers waived Haavi by mutual agreement, allowing her to return to Norway. Her departure was influenced by homesickness and difficulties adapting to the local environment.
1.4. AS Roma
After her stint in the NWSL, Haavi returned to LSK Kvinner FK on August 15, 2017, where she played until 2021. Her second period with LSK Kvinner saw her make 77 league appearances and score 30 goals. During this time, she added further accolades to her collection, winning the Toppserien in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and the Norwegian Women's Cup in 2018 and 2019. In 2021, her final season before moving to Italy, she scored 13 league goals.
On December 15, 2021, Haavi made a significant move to Italian club AS Roma. She quickly became a pivotal player for the team. In the 2022-23 season, she won her first Italian "Scudetto" (Serie A Championship) with AS Roma and was named the Most Valuable Player of the season. She continued her success into the 2023-24 season, securing a back-to-back Scudetto win with the club. She has made 32 league appearances and scored 12 goals for AS Roma so far.

Haavi also played in the qualifying stages for the 2011 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship but was not called up for the finals due to her commitments with the senior national team. As of August 2023, she has earned 101 caps for Norway, scoring 16 goals.
