1. Early life and career beginnings
Connor Stuart Ogilvie was born on 14 February 1996. He began his football career in July 2012 by joining the academy of Tottenham Hotspur.
2. Club career
Ogilvie's professional journey began in the academy system, leading to his progression into senior teams through a series of loan spells before making permanent transfers.
2.1. Tottenham Hotspur
Connor Ogilvie advanced through the ranks of the Tottenham Hotspur academy and development squad after joining in July 2012. His progress earned him a place in the first-team squad as an unused substitute for a UEFA Europa League match against Benfica on 20 March 2014, which ended in a 2-2 draw. While on loan, Ogilvie signed a two-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur in January 2016, extending his stay until 2017. Before the start of the 2017-18 season, he signed another two-year contract with the club.
2.1.1. Loan spells
During his tenure at Tottenham Hotspur, Ogilvie gained significant first-team experience through several loan periods at other clubs in the lower divisions of English football.
2.2. Gillingham
Following two successful loan spells, Connor Ogilvie permanently joined Gillingham in May 2019, signing a two-year contract. He became a key player for the Kent-based side, and at the conclusion of the 2019-20 season, he was recognized for his outstanding contributions by being named the Gillingham Player of the Season. At the end of the 2020-21 season, Ogilvie rejected an offer of a new contract from the club, leading to his departure.
2.3. Portsmouth
On 2 August 2021, Ogilvie moved to Portsmouth, a rival club in EFL League One, on a free transfer. He signed a two-year contract with the potential for an extension into a third year. He scored his first goal for Portsmouth on 11 December 2021 in a 2-0 victory against Morecambe. During his time at Portsmouth, he has continued to be a consistent performer and contributed to the club's success, including their promotion from League One.
3. International career
Connor Ogilvie has represented England at the youth international level. He played for both the England U16 and England U17 national teams.
