Baek Mok-hwa

1.1. Early Career and Draft

Baek Mok-hwa began her professional journey when she was drafted into the V-League. In the 2007-2008 draft, she was selected in the second round as the second pick by Suwon Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hillstate. Her tenure with Hyundai Engineering & Construction was brief, as she was traded to Daejeon KGC Ginseng Corporation in 2008 as a compensation player for Park Gyeong-nang.

1.2. Daejeon KGC Ginseng Corporation

After her move to Daejeon KGC Ginseng Corporation, Baek Mok-hwa quickly became an integral part of the team. She experienced her first championship victory in the 2009-2010 season, where KGC Ginseng Corporation defeated her former team, Suwon Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hillstate, in the championship final. Her success continued in the 2011-2012 season, when the team achieved a unified championship by winning both the regular season title and the championship final. She continued to play for Korea Ginseng Corporation in 2014.

1.3. Hwaseong IBK Altos and Voluntary Retirement

On May 30, 2018, Baek Mok-hwa was involved in a significant trade between Daejeon KGC Ginseng Corporation and Hwaseong IBK Altos. As part of the trade, IBK Altos acquired Baek Mok-hwa, libero Park Sang-mi, and a 2018-19 third-round draft pick, while KGC Ginseng Corporation received libero No Ran and a 2018-19 second-round draft pick. This trade marked Baek Mok-hwa's return to the V-League after a two-year absence following the 2015-2016 season. However, her return to IBK Altos was short-lived, as she was subsequently declared a voluntarily retired player by the club.

1.4. National Team Appearances

Baek Mok-hwa represented the South Korea women's national volleyball team in several international competitions. She participated in the 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix, a major annual women's volleyball tournament. Later that year, she was also part of the national squad that competed in the 2014 Asian Games, where the team achieved a significant victory, securing a gold medal.

Subsequently, she entered a second round of negotiations with other clubs but was not offered a contract by any of the five teams. The third round of negotiations also failed to result in a contract, leaving her in an unsigned status. In 2016, she briefly joined Daegu City Hall, but her professional playing career ultimately came to an end.

After her professional volleyball career concluded, Baek Mok-hwa officially retired from the sport. She then began a new chapter in her life, transitioning into the profession of a barista, pursuing a different career path outside of competitive sports.
