2.1. Childhood and Training
Allysin Kay was born on November 5, 1987, in Detroit, Michigan, United States. A devoted fan of professional wrestling since her childhood, she began her formal training in the sport in July 2008. She received instruction from Mathew Priest and Bill Martel at the Blue Collar Wrestling Alliance (BCWA), located in her hometown of Detroit.
2.2. Debut and Early Indie Circuit
Six months after commencing her training, Kay made her professional wrestling debut on December 28, 2008, in a match against Shavonne Norrell. This initial encounter sparked a feud between Kay and Norrell that continued for most of 2009, including a Falls Count Anywhere match at Summer Standoff in August 2009. Following this, Kay expanded her competitive scope by regularly engaging in matches against male wrestlers. Towards the end of 2010, the BCWA National Championship was vacated, and Kay entered the tournament to determine the new champion, reaching the semi-finals before losing to Scotty Primo, who ultimately won the title. Kay continued to pursue the championship until BCWA ceased operations in mid-2011.
Before BCWA's closure, Kay's work was exclusive to the promotion until March 2010, when she had her first match for another organization, facing Jefferson Saint for Beyond Wrestling. In mid-2010, she began wrestling for Main Event Championship Wrestling, debuting against Jessicka Havok. This match initiated a significant feud between the two, which extended to other promotions, including Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling. Their rivalry culminated in a two out of three falls anything goes street fight, which Havok won. Following this intense rivalry, Kay and Havok formed a tag team known as Team Be Jealous.
