2.1. Early Career
Alexander Meyer spent his formative years and early professional appearances in the lower divisions of German football. He played for the reserve team of Hamburger SV (Hamburger SV II) in the Regionalliga Nord during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons, making 8 and 2 appearances respectively. Following his time there, he moved to TSV Havelse, where he played for four seasons in the Regionalliga Nord from 2012-13 to 2015-16.
